Ospreys Collect Post-Season Honors

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys men’s and women’s soccer programs collected post-season honors from the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) this past week. Awards for All-Stars, All-Region, and All-Academic were handed out and the Ospreys had eight different athletes honored.

All-Stars:

Logan Billy and Mauricio Sanchez were selected as All-Stars. Both are sophomores in the Ospreys program and looking to transfer on and continue playing. This was Logan’s first All-Star appearance and the second for Mauricio.


Ospreys Soccer Season Comes to a Close

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s and men’s soccer teams both played in their final games of the season Wednesday, Oct. 24. The Ospreys women hosted Portland Community College (PCC) and lost the match 1-0. The Ospreys men were on the road against PCC and lost their match 4-0.


Ospreys Men Fall at Home, Women’s Playoff Hunt Ends

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys men’s and women’s soccer teams were in action Saturday, Oct. 20. The Osprey’s men hosted the South Region’s No. 1 ranked Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) and played well but gave up a penalty kick goal early on that was the difference as they fell 1-0. The Ospreys women ended their playoff hunt on the road when they fell 2-0 to Chemeketa Community College (CCC).


Ospreys Women Stay in Playoff Hunt, Win 1-0

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s soccer team was on the road Wednesday, Oct. 17 taking on Clackamas Community College (CCC). The Ospreys need to win their final three games of the season to qualify for playoffs and started off on the right foot with a 1-0 win.


Ospreys Fall to Clark in Back-to-Back Losses

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys hosted Clark College (CC) Saturday, Oct. 13. The women played first and held strong early against the No. 4 ranked Clark women but ultimately lost the match 6-0. The men followed and scored quickly to take an early lead but couldn’t hold on and fell to Clark 4-1.


Ospreys Stumble on the Road

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys were at different destination but both on the road Saturday October 6th. The Ospreys men were playing Chemeketa Community College (CCC) in Salem, OR and the women were in Coos Bay taking on Southwestern Community College (SWOCC). The Ospreys men challenged Chemeketa deep into the match but gave up two goals late to lose 3-0. The women played Southwestern to a draw at the half but gave up a own goal late in the match to fall 2-0.

Ospreys Fall to Lane in Back-to-Back Games

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s and men’s teams were taking on Lane Community College (LCC) Wednesday October 3rd. The women played first and were under attack the entire length of the game as they lost 6-0. The men followed and played a contested match but ultimately lost 2-0.


Ospreys Women Win 3-1, Move into 3rd Place

HILLSBORO — The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women were on the road Sunday, Sept. 30 taking on Portland Community College (PCC) at Ron Tonkin Stadium. The Ospreys went into the match knowing they could overtake PCC in the standings with a win and they did just that, earning a 3-1 victory.


Ospreys Men Lose at Home

MEDFORD — The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys men found themselves under siege on Saturday, Sept. 29 as they hosted the Portland Community College (PCC) Panthers. The Ospreys lost 8-0. They were under attack from the very beginning and throughout the match, absorbing 30 shots from Portland.


Ospreys Earn a 1-0 Win at Home

MEDFORD –– The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s team was in action Wednesday, Sept. 26 when they took on Chemeketa Community College at home. The Ospreys had an onslaught of shots throughout the game with only one finding the net to secure a 1-0 result.

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women and men’s teams were in action Saturday September 22nd. The women were playing at home against Clackamas Community College (CCC) and earned a 2-0 result. The men were playing on the road against Southwestern Community College (SWOCC) and lost the match with a final score of 5-0.

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s and men’s soccer teams were on the road Wednesday, Sept. 19 against Clark College Penguins in back-to-back matches. The women played a close game against the 4th overall ranked Clark women but fell 2-0.


Ospreys Men Stumble in Home Opener

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys men held their home opener Saturday, Sept. 15 against the Chemeketa Community College (CCC) Storm. The match was fiercely contested on both sides with all goals coming in the final 30 minutes, but the Ospreys ultimately lost 3-1.

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women held their home opener Wednesday September 12th against Southwestern Community College (SOCC). The match was closely contested with both sides finding opportunities and ultimately ended with a final score of 1-1.


Ospreys Open Season with Back-to-Back Losses

Eugene – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s and men’s soccer programs opened regular season play in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) on the road Saturday, September 8. Both teams took on the Lane Community College Titans in back-to-back games. The Ospreys women were up first and held strong early but ultimately lost 2-0. The Ospreys men battled back and forth but dropped the match 3-1.

Ospreys Women Find Victory on the Road

The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys women’s soccer (1-2-0) team traveled to Eugene to host Tacoma Community College (1-2-0) on a neutral field located at the Bob Keefer Complex Monday, Aug. The Ospreys earned their first preseason victory with a 2-1 result.


RCC Ospreys Earn Mixed Results at NWAC Friendlies

Tukwila, WA – The Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys men’s and women’s soccer programs opened their seasons at the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Soccer Friendlies held at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington. The Ospreys men opened with a 2-2 draw against Columbia Basin College and a 5-0 loss against Tacoma College. The Ospreys women fell 4-0 against Yakima Valley College and 5-1 against Bellevue College.

RCC Athletics Adds Volleyball in 2019

Ospreys will start spiking volleyballs in Northwest Athletic Conference South Division action in 2019.

“We are stoked,” said Rogue Community College athletic director Darren Van Lehn. “Bringing women’s volleyball to Rogue means more opportunity for local athletes to continue their athletic careers while earning a college education. It also means an exciting new sport for our fans.”

The Ospreys will make their first serve in divisional competition in August 2019. They join 33 other college programs in the NWAC.


Ospreys Soccer Kicks Off in September

Medford – The Rogue Community College Ospreys are entering their fourth season of collegiate competition this fall. The men’s and women’s soccer programs kick off the regular season of Northwest Athletic Conference play on Saturday Sep 8 on the road in Eugene, OR against the Lane Titans.


RCC Ospreys Discontinues Cross-Country and Long Distance Track Programs

Despite initial successes, the Rogue Community College (RCC) Ospreys Athletic Department announced today that it has discontinued the cross-country and long distance track programs. Participation has not met expectations. 


Ospreys and Black Tornado Star Signs with Oregon Tech

Medford – Rogue Community College Ospreys and former North Medford Black Tornado star Haley Janky has committed to Oregon Tech’s women’s soccer program for the fall 2018 season.

Following a high school playing career at North Medford, Janky committed to joining an Ospreys program that was beginning its second year of Northwest Athletic Conference play. In her two years, Janky started every game, earned both All-Region and All-Star honors, carried a full course load, maintained a 3.6 GPA. She will graduate this spring with her associate degree.
