Ospreys Celebrate Multiple Post Season Awards
MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball and Men’s Soccer programs celebrated a record number of post-season awards after both programs win NWAC South Region Championships. Between the two a combined 8 All-Stars, 1 MVP, and 1 Coach of the Year award were received.
Ospreys Volleyball Wins 3-1; Back-to-Back Champions!
EUGENE – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was on the road against the undefeated Lane Community College for the South Region Championship. Looking to avenge their losses earlier this seasons the Ospreys came out with confidence, defense, and a spread attack to win 3-1 (26-24, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21) and go back-to-back as NWAC South Region Champions to start the programs 2-year history.
Ospreys Volleyball Heads to Championship Match with 3-0 Win
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was hosting Linn-Benton Community College Tuesday May 25th for the semi-final match in the NWAC South Region Championships. The Ospreys came out swinging and dominated with blocks at the net to go up big early and fight for the sweep winning 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-22).
Ospreys Men’s Soccer Takes Season Title with 2-0 Win
SALEM – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team was on the road in Salem taking on Chemeketa Community College Saturday May 22nd. The Ospreys found themselves in a closely contested battle but scored in the 44th minute and sealed the victory with a penalty kick in the 88th minute to win 2-0. For the first time in the programs 6 year history they will finish the season in first place in the NWAC South Region with a 4-2 record.
Ospreys Men’s Soccer Earns 2-0 Win Over Lane
EUGENE – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team was on the road in Eugene taking on Lane Community College Wednesday May 19th. The Ospreys absorbed an early rush by Lane to ultimately control possession scoring in both halves while earning their first clean sheet of the season. The Ospreys were led by Jhoel Sarraude with a goal and an assist to Bryce McCole for his goal.
Ospreys Volleyball Wins 3-1, Advances to Final Four
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team hosted Clackamas Community College on Tuesday May 18th in the first round of the single elimination South Region Championships. The Ospreys started strong, stumbled in the middle, and then finished with style to win 3-1 (25-15, 25-27, 25-19, 25-5). The win moves the Ospreys to a final four home match against Linn-Benton Friday May 21st at 6pm.
Ospreys Soccer Falls 1-0 on the Road
SALEM – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team was on the road against Chemeketa Community College Saturday May 15th. Chemeketa would find the net in the first 10 minutes of the match and it would be the only goal on the day as the Ospreys would lose 1-0.
Ospreys Volleyball Finishes Season in 2nd after Final Game Cancelled
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was set to host Linn-Benton tonight at 4pm in the final game of the regular season. Late this morning Linn-Benton cancelled due to COVID protocols. The result of the cancelled match sees Ospreys Volleyball finish in 2nd place at the end of the regular season.
Ospreys Volleyball Falls 3-1 on the Road
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was on the road against Linn-Benton Community College Wednesday May 12th. The Ospreys found themselves in a come-from-behind battle all night long. It proved too much as they would lose 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 20-25, 22-25).
Ospreys Volleyball Downs Clackamas 3-0
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was hosting Clackamas Community College on Friday May 7th. After a tough battle that went the distance Wednesday the Ospreys returned to form to win in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-22).
The Ospreys (8-2) looked to start strong against Clackamas (4-8) after falling behind earlier in the week. They just did that as they jumped out to a lead and held onto it throughout the first set. They would win 25-20.
Ospreys Volleyball Battles to Victory in Return to Action
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was back in action Wednesday May 5th on the road against Clackamas Community College after a two week pause due to COVID protocols. They fell behind early and battled back and forth with a tough Clackamas team to take the 3-2 (23-25, 25-21, 26-28, 25-18, 15-5) victory.
Ospreys Defense Wins the Day over Lane
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team was hosting Lane Community College in their final home match of the shortened spring season. The Ospreys scored early and held strong on defense to secure the 2-1 win. Goals by Bryce McCole and Josue Reyes with a game winning 1v1 save by keeper Gio Rodriguez.
COVID Protocols Impact Ospreys Athletics
MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College Ospreys athletics program was impacted by multiple COVID protocols the week of April 19th. Men’s soccer learned that their scheduled opponent over the next two weeks was going into a 14-day pause in relation to COVID protocols. They will attempt to reschedule those contests.
Ospreys Volleyball is also shutting down for a 14-day pause through May 1st due to COVID protocols. They were scheduled to play 4 games during that time period against Linn-Benton and Mt. Hood Community Colleges. They will attempt to reschedule if they are able.
Ospreys Weather the Storm to Notch First Win
MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team hosted Chemeketa Community College on Saturday April 17th. A slow first half saw the tempo pick up in the second as the Ospreys unleashed their balanced offensive attack led by Jhoel Sarraude and Randy Rodriguez to win 3-2.
Ospreys Volleyball Completes Season Sweep of Southwestern
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was hosting Southwestern Oregon Community College on Friday April 16th. The Ospreys completed the season sweep of Southwestern behind the strength of their serving as they put up 12 aces in the 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-21) win.

MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was on the road in Coos Bay, OR taking on Southwestern Oregon Community College. The Ospreys were looking to bounce back after two tough losses last week and they did. Dominating in the first set, battling back in the second, and holding a lead for the 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) win.
Rogue Men’s Soccer Falls 3-2 to Lane in Season Opener
MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team was back on the pitch after 532 days. They had their spring season opener Saturday April 10th at US Cellular Community Park against Lane Community College. A back-and-forth physical match saw Lane find the back of the net in the 73rd minute to take the 3-2 lead that would end up being the final score.
Ospreys Volleyball falls 3-2 to Lane
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys took on the Lane Community College Titans on Wednesday April 7th. The match between the last two unbeaten teams in the South Region was a closely contested back-and-forth match that saw Lane pull away late in the 5th set to win 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 15-8).
Ospreys Volleyball Downs Umpqua 3-0
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team hosted Umpqua Community College on Wednesday March 31st. They won in straight sets, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-16), to remain undefeated on the year.
The Ospreys (3-0) once again used the first game to find their rhythm. A back-and-forth set against Umpqua (0-3) saw the Ospreys pull ahead late. In the second set they fell behind 14-12 only to end up winning 25-17. In the third set they took the lead and held it to complete the sweep.
Ospreys Volleyball Sweeps Chemeketa
GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team hosted its first home match of the 2021 Spring Season. They faced Chemeketa Community College in the second matchup of the week. They won 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-16) and improved to 2-0 on the year following their 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20) win over Chemeketa in Salem on Wednesday.
Ospreys Hire Lisa Elledge to Helm Women’s Soccer
MEDFORD – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Women’s Soccer program has hired its second coach in program history. Lisa Elledge has been hired as the program enters its sixth season. She joins a program that fell one point shy of playoffs last season and will look to help the program take the next step.
Elledge has spent the past 3 years as the assistant coach for Women’s Soccer at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR.
