GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball returned to action on Monday October 11th when they hosted College of the Siskiyous in a non-conference matchup. The Ospreys took a little while to get going but ultimately got back into their offensive flow and cruised to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-15) win.
The Ospreys (14-6, 5-3) showed a little rust having not played in 10 days. They shook it off as they pulled to an 8-8 tie with Siskiyous (2-11) in the first set and never looked back. Controlling the first to a 25-18 win. Stormed out ahead and won handily in the second set 25-12 and cursed to a comfortable 25-15 win and a 3-0 match on the day.
The Ospreys spread the attack lead by Devin Ireland with 36 assists and Kylie Anderson and Jeanie Palsis holding down the defense with 14 digs each. Palsis also had 6 Kills along with Amanda Klotz 11 Kills, Tessa Frodge 8 Kills, Mackenzie Ososke 6 Kills, Toni Stevens 6 kills, and Eireen Madelo with 4 Kills.
The Ospreys are on the road for their next two matches when they travel to Mt. Hood Community College (5-5, 4-4) on Friday October 15th at 6:30pm and Clark College (7-11, 4-4) Saturday October 16th at 2:00pm. The Ospreys sit in 3rd place in the South Region NWAC standings.
