GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was on the road against Chemeketa Community College Saturday October 23rd. After dropping a close first set the Ospreys took control of the match and went three in a row to win 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-15).
The Ospreys (17-7, 8-4) first set against Chemeketa (6-11, 3-8) was tight up until the very end when the storm pulled ahead and won 25-23. In the second set the varied offensive attack of the Ospreys got moving and they rolled to a 25-18 win. The third and fourth sets saw the Ospreys get control and keep it throughout as they won 25-20 and 25-15 closing out the match with a 3-1 win.
The attack was led by Catherine Rostel who had 9 Kills, 11 assists, and 14 digs. Amanda Klotz had 11 kills, Toni Stevens had 10 with 5 Blocks, and Tessa Frodge had 8 kills. Jeanie Palsis and Kylie Anderson kept the defense on point with 36 and 12 digs.
The Ospreys are at home for their next match as they host Lane Community College (14-1, 11-1) on Friday October 29th at 6:30pm. The Ospreys sit in 3rd place in the NWAC South Region.
