GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Men’s Soccer team was in action Wednesday October 27th hosting Clark College. The Ospreys started the day locked in second place and after an early PK was granted they rotated players as Clark would win 2-0. The Ospreys finish in second place in the South Region after earning the championship last year. They will host Bellevue College on Wednesday November 3rd in the first round of the NWAC playoffs.
The Ospreys (8-2-2, 6-2-2) came out with energy looking to finish the regular season with a win against Clark (4-2-4, 4-2-4). In the 13th minute a foul occurred as a Clark player was running out of the box and a questionable PK was granted and Clark would go up 1-0. After looking to equalize and not finding the net the Ospreys began to rotate players and plan for the playoffs. Clark would finish the game with a 2-0 win after an own goal early in the second half.
The Ospreys will host Bellevue College (5-6-3, 4-5-2) on Wednesday October 27th at 12:00pm at US Cellular Community Park Field 11 in the opening round of the NWAC Playoffs. It is the second home playoff game for the program. The winner travels to Peninsula College (14-0, 11-0) for a chance to make the final four.
