GRANTS PASS – The Rogue Community College Ospreys Volleyball team was on the road Friday November 5th when they took on Umpqua Community College in the second to last game of the regular season. The Ospreys set the tone in the first set with a dominate win. They would make it interesting in the second until a ten point run sealed the win and set the momentum for a 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-17) win.
The Ospreys (19-8, 10-5) need to win out and Mt. Hood to lose one of two to claim third place in the South. Umpqua (7-18, 2-13) found momentum in the second set but lost control up 17-15, losing 25-17 and setting the tone for the third set and the sweep. The win sets up the final game of the season for the Ospreys before heading into the group play round of the NWAC playoffs.
The Ospreys will be on the road for their final match of the season when they take on Southwestern Oregon Community College (8-18, 4-11) in Coos Bay on Wednesday November 10th at 6:30pm. They will begin group play Saturday November 13th.
